Structure, governance and management:
Tha Ward Library Trust is a charitable incorporated organisatson, incorporated on
21 February 2019 for the purpose of providing a community public library and
information point, or for meeting open to the public or held for a community purpose.
A commrttee manages the day to (lay running of the library and reports to the
trustees who have overall responsibility for insuring that the charity meets ils
purpose and obligations.
Ne¥v trustees are Invited by the existing Trustees and ar8 chosen for what they can
offer to the trust and the communrty.
Flnanclal Revlew:
In its third year as a community Library Partnership with Somerset County Council
the Ward Library Trust has made considerable cost savings. With generous grants
as the main source of income the charity has finished the year in a strong financial
position and, with further savings envisaged: Is confident for the future. The only
assets owned by the trust relate to fumishing purchased during 2020 for £1461.
Publlc beneflt ststement:
The charities purpose Is to provide the public benefit of a library. This it has done
successfully to the considerable benefit of the communty and beyond.
