Achievements and Performance
| SORP reference | ||
|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | CFM churches have consistently provided a welcoming place of worship for members of the public. Our places of worship remain open to all, regardless of gender, culture, or social status, and are free of charge. Both churches have experienced an increasing number of individuals seeking spiritual, emotional, and social support. We have successfully accommodated these needs while expanding our outreach efforts. Our street evangelism and homeless outreach, which previously took place quarterly, are now conducted on a monthly basis. We regularly extend a helping hand to those in need by offering guidance on available support services, providing food, and sharing information about food banks and homeless shelters. Over the years, we have witnessed a growing number of individuals, including those without a regular place of worship, seeking comfort, community, and a sense of belonging within our congregation. Additionally, we continue to support families facing challenges, assist individuals with health concerns, and provide guidance to young people struggling with mental health issues, addiction, and isolation through prayer, counseling, and encouragement. |

| Achievements against objectives set |
Para 1.41 | As a family-centered church, we take great pride in achieving many of our objectives through strong partnerships. We have witnessed an overwhelmingly positive response to the Gospel, with many individuals embracing discipleship in Christ Jesus. However, while we continue to provide essential support through food banks, community services, and clothing donations, we are not yet in a financial position to offer shelter for the homeless. Additionally, due to regulatory requirements, policy constraints, and limited expertise, we are unable to provide direct counseling services for minors. To ensure the safety and well-being of those we serve, all key personnel are required to undergo DBS disclosure. Furthermore, we actively support individuals by providing referrals and recommending specialist organizations that offer professional assistance, as these organizations receive regular training and maintain the necessary expertise. |
|---|---|---|
| Performance of fundraising activities against objectives set |
Para 1.41 | The charity did not perform any fund-raising activities and do not have any performances record. All funds and income activities are detailed in the section Para 1.47. |
| Investment performance against objectives |
Para 1.41 | The charity did not perform any investments in either in property, land, or business. Although we hope to invest if the right opportunity present itself. However, the charity continues to support other existing charities either through funding or personnel. |

| Statement explaining the policy for holding reserves stating why they are held |
Para 1.22 | CFM's primary operations focus on providing a place of worship, counseling services, and meeting spaces for hosting Christian events and other religious gatherings. In alignment with this mission, CFM has established a policy to ensure the availability of reserved funds for securing a new meeting space for worship when urgently needed. Additionally, the charity maintains designated funds specifically allocated for special ministry purposes, such as building projects and food bank initiatives. These funds are carefully managed to support the long-term sustainability of our services and to meet the needs of the community effectively. . |
| Amount of reserves held | Para 1.22 | CFM, as a charity, has agreed to maintain a reserve fund of £6,000 to cover essential operational expenses, including meeting hall rentals, monthly contractual obligations, and maintenance costs. In the event of contract termination, this reserve will ensure financial preparedness by covering the necessary deposit and first month's rent for securing a new meeting hall, allowing for the continued smooth operation of our worship and community services. |

| The charity’s principal sources of funds (including any fundraising) |
Para 1.47 | CFM’s primary source of funding comes from contributions and church donations made by its members and trustees, commonly referred to as tithes and offerings. Occasionally, we may request additional support from our members when hosting special events or to meet specific ministry needs, ensuring the continued success of our charitable and religious initiatives. |
|---|---|---|
| Investment policy and objectives including any social investment policy adopted |
Para 1.46 | All of CFM’s assets and income are dedicated exclusively to advancing and promoting its charitable objectives. None of CFM’s income or property may be distributed to its members in the form of dividends, bonuses, or any other form of profit. However, trustees may be reimbursed from CFM’s funds for reasonable expenses properly incurred while acting on behalf of the charity, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial management. |
| A description of the principal risks facing the charity |
Para 1.46 | Due to work, family and education commitments, the charity struggles to maintain members consistency. This resulted in the reduced attendance our members and therefore we were unable to fully run our public services. Therefore, since majority of our funds are received during worship and meetings times, absent members do not contribute physically and financially. |
