## **Trustees' Report For the year 2021** 

## **Community Engagement:** 

This year has been a very challenging year for Daalo Education & Environment Development (DEED). The Covid-19 impact was great and community members were not able to contribute due to loss of income and rising living costs. 

## **Dhaban Dhigane  Health Centre Project** 

Daalo contributed to a health clinic project in Dhaban Dhigane £1000, working with Infifaac, a local non-profit organization working in rural areas in Sanaag region in Somaliland. The project is crucial for the local community as there are no health facilities in this rural area, the nearest health facility is Ergavo hospital which is about 50 miles from Dhaban Dhigane. The health center will help the local community to access emergency health services and first aid. This is important as many struggles or dies waiting for treatment especially women and elderly people.
