effort to advance education and lo provide facilities in the interests
of social welfare for recreation and leisure lime occupation. with Ihe

In furtherance of these objects but not otherwise, the Irustees shall
have power to eslablish or secure the establishment of a
community ￿ntre and lo maintain or manage or co-operate with

such a cenlie for activities promoted by the charity in furtherance of
the above objects. Nothing in thi5 constitution shall aulhorise an

crochet. embroidery: every Monday 10 00- 12.00pm
Social Engagement
Cozy Crossley - We set up a wamilcommunity space 'Cozy
Crossley. in February 2023 with a granl from Action Together..
residents can read a book. get a warm or cold drink, gel a free
meal and socialise. It is part of the Cornmunity Fridge.
Food Poverty
Communily Fridge
We set up a community fridge in February 2023 with support from
i Great Places Community Investment Team. We successfully
l applied for a grant from HUBUB, a group that supports community
| fridges across the nation. Ther Cooperative supermarket Is the
main retailer that supports community fridge5 but we have also
l approached local supermarkets who have been very supportive.
! The project is ongoing and allract new people weekly.

run activities or for individuals who need help with accessing
employment. education or training. 1 OQ/o ol the Crossley Centre
surplus income is ring-fenced for Community Fund applicants,

this is due to the impact of the pandemic which has had an
adverse effect on timescales

Volunteers are an invaluable resour￿ in the day-to-day running of
the Crossley Community Cenlre and are involved in most of the
community activities organised by the b08rd of Iruslees Crossley
Community Centre and Gieal Places staff. Volunteers also help
with opening and closing for private functions on weekends.
i The community tridge has attracted new volunteers who have been
given food hygiene training and safeguarding training. The
volunteers have also been helping manage the warm space which
runs once a week on the same day as the community fridge. One
volunteer has come via the partnership with Oldham College s
SEND programme {Special Educational Needs Department} who
was at the communily centre for a placement last year but has
continued as a volunteer with the community fridge.

Youth Club
A youth club has been running at the centre for five years
and has engaged with over a hundred children. Through
