The advancement of the education of the public by the
prowsion and maintenance of a Mvseum in or around the town
of Ramsey.
The acquisition, restoration and exhibition to the public of rural
bygones items having a connection with the social,
dornestic, crafL trade. industy, agriculDJre and rural history {in
Ramsey and the surrounding villages).
Promote research relab.ng to the collections of the Museum
and the publication of the results.

All trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the
Charity Cornmission on public benefit.
The Museum artefarts are arranged in the following collections..

Artefacts are clearEd and maintained in the best way possible
given availability of space ￿nds.
Description5, Stories and information are presented for the
knowledge and education of visttors and recently films and
short wde05 have supplemented this in several areas.
In order to fund this work, a small fee is charged for entrance, a
tea room is provided and events are held in the grounds which
attratt visitors from a large area, both locally and intsrnationally.
The museurn is run and managed entirely by volunteers.

The Museums v()lunteers are the essence of the museum as we
are entirely run and managed and governed by volunteers.

achievements of the charity
during the year
2022 has presented several challenges".
Post Covid the number of volunteers has reduced, and we
have trouble attracting volunleers for main roles such as
FundraisirKJ and MarketirrfJ.
Work on the museum's strategy continues with on90ing
discussions with our landlord. The plan is in ￿ parts, a
Development Strategy to 2030 and a Business Plan to 2030
which will require a fresh approach to income generation. We
are currently looking at several possible initian'ves in this area.
During this year we successhjlly ran a number of events which
raised funds such that we ended the year with a small surplus.

All assets are held in either current or deposit accounts.
General reserves are held that equate to at least one yearfs
operating costs. and designated reserve5 are held for the long-
term accumulation of funds for larger maintenance and
contingency such as re~thatchinglroofing etc.
