Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
The main activity undertaken by KlezNorth is the annual spring weekend held currently in Youlgrave, Derbyshire.
In Spring 2021, because of Covid restrictions, we were unable to hold the weekend in Youlgrave but were successful in having the weekend on Zoom, which attracted international artists and teachers as well as an international audience.
On 06.03.22, again because of Covid restrictions and concerns, we held a one day online Klezmer/Yiddish event on Zoom, which included workshops and a concert, again with international artists, teachers and audience.
Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)
Kleznorth continues to operate because of its fantastic informal group of volunteers, both on the Committee and in support, including all participants at the KlezNorth weekend who help with the large range of tasks required to support and feed up to 100 people.
