## **Achievements and Performance**

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|In 2023 we presented a mini–Winter Festival<br>of string quartets at the United Reformed<br>Church, as well as a fundraising concert in<br>London. The Spring festival focussed on the<br>Belgian violinist Eugene Ysaye with 10<br>events in Romsey performed by high calibre<br>artists from around the world. Highlights of<br>the festival included performances of<br>Brahms Piano Quintet, Faure Second Piano<br>Quartet, Elgar Piano Quintet, a visiting wind<br>quintet, a family concert and an open<br>masterclass. We received highly positive<br>critical reviews and audience numbers<br>continued to grow.<br>This year as always our education work was<br>a primary focus. We put on 10 schools<br>concerts and workshops, a masterclass and<br>worked with Hampshire County Youth<br>Orchestra for a day. Our family concert<br>during the festival is pay-as-you-wish, to<br>help with first access to live performances<br>and our first concert in Romsey Abbey was<br>donations only.|
