Chair of Trustees
Thi5 reporting year has seen several changes within the organisation due to Ed Ives-warra resigniny as
CEO of the Charity. Thanks must go to him for all the effort and hard work he has contributed to the
Charrty since ts inception. Ed continues to supportthe Charrty bytsking on a part-time role to
coordinate the Fundraising activities within the Charity. As a result Colette Bibby took on the role of
yO￿h Team Leader. overseeing the other members of stsff and the runniny of the dubs and trips.
During this period. thanks to a grant from BVA. the Charity has commenced work on updating all its
social media site5 and developing a markeling strategy to help sustain ils long-terni viability.
Finally. BDYC is in a reasonable position to deliver its services to all the Young Carers for the next
financial year. However. it's important to note that the funding from HYCA and HCC is due lo finish in
mid-2024. This means that the Charity will need to concentrate more of its efforts on fundraising to make
up for this shortfall. We are committed to ensuring thatthis does not impactthe quality of our services.
