## **Achievements and Performance**

The charity has also provided financial donations to a number of local community charities within the Warwickshire area. This was very much welcomed by the charities, projects and organisations concerned and by receiving these additional funds it allowed them to provide help to more vulnerable people.
Recipients included an organisation that provides support for individuals with a learning disability or those with mental health issues where they can learn new skills and use them with confidence. Funding was granted for online virtual support to ensure the support was still fully available throughout the pandemic. Other donations issued also included a contribution towards play park equipment for children of all disabilities within the county of Warwickshire; and equipment for a boxing club aimed at young people, offering intervention to prevent them being drawn into county lines drug dealing.

## **Financial Review**

Review of the charity’s Para 1.21 The charity was first registered in
financial position at the August 2018 and the accounts
end of the period opened with a balance of
£101,304.91. These original funds
were the sale proceeds of seized
property, seized and found cash. The
Chief Constable has the discretion to
distribute these funds on an annual
basis to any charity she chooses. The
Trustees of the Fund are very keen to
help the local Warwickshire
community and setting up this charity
with these funds was an ideal
solution.
The income received in the financial
year 21/22 was again a contribution
from the sale of seized property which
has given the charity a healthy
balance.
The number of applications for
donations was slightly lower than the
Trustees had hoped for with the result
at the end of the year being a higher
than anticipated balance of
£54,020.83.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31/03/2022.**
## **Responsibilities and basis of report**
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
## **Independent examiner's statement**
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
