## **– Trustees Annual Report for period 1/1/2024 31/12/2024.** Trustees 

Clive Kerridge (chairman) John Wheeler (treasurer) Pam Trafford (secretary) Andrew Brooks, Angela Carver, Carol Hodgson, Roger Savage. Trustees are recruited after a period on committee. 

## **Objectives and Activities.** 

Objectives of the society are to provide classical music concerts, at an affordable price to the local and wider community in our rural area of Staffordshire. Also, to give a performing platform to musicians early in their professional career. We achieve this by arranging 4 concerts per year, performed in a large sandstone church. We choose a varied selection of musical genres and artistes to give a balance over the year. We advertise locally via flyers, email to supporters, county information platforms and via social media. 

## **Income** 

Audience ticket payment is taken on the door for all performances. Patrons donate to the Concert Society. Gift Aid is claimed as per HMRC. Grants are applied for to supplement the income. 

## **Expenditure** 

Performers fees, piano hire and tuning, venue hire, printing, performing rights, local Arts Council membership, interval refreshments and sundries. 

## **Concerts in 2024** 

May;  Manchester Camerata principals. Flute /oboe quartets. July;  Yugen Saxophone quartet. Sept;  Keyboard Trust virtuoso pianist . Nov;  Trio of baritone, soprano and piano accompanist. Audience sizes were between 60 – 100. 

All trustees and committee paid for their tickets, also volunteered in running the concert with the help of 5 volunteer friends and family. 

Concerts were well received by audiences, and the musicians appreciated the arrangements made for them to perform for us.
