Trustees’ Annual Report for the period

From I/1/2023 to 31/12/2023

Objectives and Activities

Our aim continues to be to organise concerts of a high standard at an affordable price in a remote rural area

In 2023, four concerts were held. These were of classical music including a Mozart programme by the Manchester Camerata principals in May; a baroque organ concert in July; a young virtuosos pianist from the Keyboard Trust in September and the Lantivet duo (piano and violin/viola) in November. Audience size ranged from 67 - 92

All trustees paid for their seats. On the day of each concert, the committee were helped by up to five volunteers

Policy on grant making - We do not make grants to other bodies.

We achieved our objectives in 2023 by providing four high class concerts. People in the audience often expressed their pleasure on leaving the church.

Financial Review

We maintain our current account with a good balance in order to guarantee that the charity can continue for another year at least. The future of our main source of grants – Stafford and District Arts Council - remains uncertain although we are exploring other sources of financial support..

2023 started with £6868.92 in the account and ended with £6320.40, a DEFICIT of £548.52 compared to the previous year which had a SURPLUS of £477.87
