Adbaston Community Concert Society CIO
Charity number 1181880
Report for year ending Dec 2021
Activities - how the charity spends its money
Each year, ACCS puts on four high-standard, usually classical concerts [occasionally jazz] in the mediaeval Adbaston church, which has very good acoustics.
Our aim is to make professional concert level music available in the Staffs/Salop border region at an affordable price of £10: audience around 60 – 80 people, sometimes more. We try to give a platform to regional professionals and to developing talents who will benefit from the exposure and in building their concert CVs.
There are several local patrons and most concerts are subsidised by Stafford District Arts Council and/or others e.g. Manchester Camerata, Keyboard Charitable Trust.
In 2021, there was only one concert due to the Covid pandemic. This was held on Sunday October 3rd, a recital by a pianist from the Keyboard Trust.
