## **Teversal CC AGM – Tuesday 21[st] Feb’23, 7pm.**

## **Trustees Report**

The 2022 season started off full of hope with all 4 senior teams organised with captains and reasonable levels of players available, and being our centenary year, something to work towards to make a mark for the club.

By the end of the season two of the teams had changed captains and several fixtures were forfeited towards the end of the season leading to one team being relegated. The centenary event passed off smoothly and was well attended by club members.

The youth teams continued to play at 4 age groups / soft / hard ball cricket level, managed by Michael Gregory with the contacts at Pilsley CC and also Morton CC, for the first time. Maybe a sign of thigs to come.

The ground preparations were undertaken by Phil Hauton and Andy Gregson, assisted by Julian Wood with Sean Hewitt taking an interest in preparing wickets. With Matthew Pearson returning to help with the ground works and all machinery working well following winter servicing, the “green bit” of the club is in good shape.

The Teversal Trust initiative is slowly beginning to overcome each obstacle in its path, and will hopefully start to have a positive influence on the club no matter how small soon. Phil will being everyone up the speed on the development of the Teversal Trust.

The year-end finances of the club were down on previous years achievements, losing money for the first time in a very long time, but hopefully the generous donations from the John Eastwood Trust will continue in 2023. But we will all need to do our bit to support the club finances as will be described in the Treasurer’s report to follow.

Looking forward at the 2023 season it is clear that a lot of hard work will be needed to steady the Teversal CC ship as it navigates through the current choppy waters. But as they say, a problem shared is a problem halved, and that is how we will get through the current problems to the end of the season by everyone pulling together and volunteering and helping out wherever they can.

Good luck to all those who will represent the club on the field in the 2023 season and a big thank you to those who will do more to support the club behind the scenes.
