The tr￿$teeS have pleasure ID prosenting their rep)rt for the year ended 31 December 2022.
On 6 December 2018: the TTUStees approved the ¢#ablisbment of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club Charitsble
Youth Trust CIO (the TIO-). On 31 January 2019 the CIO was approved by The Charity Commission and the
funds from the previous t￿￿t were Ir8nsferred to the CIO.
Encluded within those fimds was an amoullt of £50. being the original restricted fijnd set up The Sir Leonard
Hutton Foundation. The balance of funds tr2nsf¢nrd to the CIO is ￿tire￿￿ and tnay used to firther the
objects of the CIO. These are ￿fenEd to as the ￿elleral Fund-.
Charitable activitie¥ in 2022
The CIO is a clwity which aims to ellable more young people to play cricket and other s[￿rts in Yorkshire.
Wc work with parthers to fmance the programm¢s Mthich benefrt children. including The YoTkshire Cricket
Foundation who d¢liv¢r-EDjoy Cricket- -Popup Crick¢ff, and-Beach Crick
In 2022. we were pleased to Sup[￿ 8n expansion of Enjoy Cricket and Popup Cricket and supported the deliverv
of these to over 10.000 voung people at 74 centres a¢ff￿S the county. giving over 1.000 hours of cricketing fun to
children in a safe environment.
Additional supw>rt was given to give bursaries for enthusiasts to learn to coach cricket to young peopl¢ and helping
clubs remove a barrier to enable them to supp)rt junior cricke¢ providing youngsters support for years to come.
The CIO'S income is principally fmm a portfolio of invesfmeEEts ahhough d¢)nations and Iwuests are welcomed. As
in previous years. th¢ level of cl￿Rtable ex￿ndit￿re has exceeded invesknent income.
General Fund
In 2022 charitable expenditure w&s £52.602 (2021 £77,699), and with significant reductions in the values of the
charity's investments. the Fund showed an overall defIcit for the year of £284,030 (2021 surplus of £124,921) and a
balance at 31 DecemlKr 2022 of £1209,835 (2021 £1.493.865). The trustees 3re grateful for donations receive(L
particul8rty from certain long-$L￿ding 5UPPOrt¢rs and also monies received at a cricket match in memory of a Nortb
Yorkshire club cricketer.
Investments
Trading resulted in a realised Ii)ss of £17.560 (2021- gaill of £1.124}. Unrealised losses in the year were £261,639
(2021
gains of £161154) and the value of the inveslments at 31 Decemkr 2022 was £1,165,738 (2021
£1,460,589).

With the help of professional investtnent managemenL the Trustff5 are satisfied th2t the major risks identified are
adequately mitigated where necessary. It is rccognised that systems can only provide rewnable but not absolute
assurance that major risks bave been adequatety managed.
