|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1||Our Charitable Activities In Lionistic Year<br>2022-2023:<br>During 2022/2023 our activities have been<br>limited by the Covid 19 Pandemic but a<br>£5,000 donation from Cornwell’s Chemists<br>to reward our voluntary efforts at their<br>vaccination centre has boosted our Welfare<br>Fund.<br>We have ongoing service projects:Over<br>5,100 hours volunteering at vaccination centre;<br>recycling spectacles, hearing aids, blister packs<br>and telephones; loaning wheelchairs; Cleaning<br>of National Arboretum Lions Shelter.<br>Stafford Lions Club has financially<br>supported the following: We paid£100 each<br>per month to a Stafford Food Bank and<br>Salvation Army; paid for a coach a day trip to<br>Llandudno for Ukrainian families; paid for a<br>party for adult carers; 2 x £50 for youngsters<br>undertaking international community work;<br>£500 towards a powered mobility scooter via<br>Mobility Trust; Sponsored kit man from<br>Stafford Rangers Football Club.<br>We donated Wild Tribe Heroes children’s<br>environmental books for 35 schools £1258, a<br>chance to tell over 4000 primary school pupils<br>about the work of our club.  Wreath for<br>Remembrance Sunday £50; the Christmas Tree<br>Festival own tree (£50) plus marshalling;<br>Katharine House Hospice donation; 21 food<br>bags for young carers via ‘Families First’; £100<br>to LCIF Disaster funds for Pakistan floods; £400<br>donated to Lions Clubs International Funds for|





the Turkey/Syria flood disaster; start-up grant of £100 for Castlechurch Community Hub; supplied Message in a Bottle to "Staffordshire Together for Carers"; bought and donated 48 hair brushes the charity CRADLE; money pledged for "Happy Days" a charity which helps special needs children with life opportunities; items donated to Nathan Rimmer to take to Ukraine; 0£100 donation to Blind Veterans Appeal; £252 pledged to Happy Days Charity. We went ‘gleaning’ for pumpkins which we gave to the ‘Fairshare’ Charity. Fundraising: The majority of our normal fundraising mainly takes place in November and the festive season when we do bucket collections accompanied by Santa’s Elves and a Lion in supermarkets and shopping areas in Stafford and Penkridge. We also raise money through delivering a local directory on a monthly basis. Food: We hold annual food collections in January and July. The food was distributed by a local foodbank.
