**2021-2022**
During 2021/2022 our activities have been
limited by the Covid 19 Pandemic but a £5,000
donation from Cornwells Chemists to reward
our voluntary efforts at their vaccination
centre has boosted our Welfare Fund.
Stafford Lions Club has financially supported
the following: £200 to St. Paul’s Youth
Club. 8 Balls for All’ £100 to purchase 4
balls. District Youth Appeal £149.50. £250
for LCIF Disaster Fund. Donation for
CRADLE £100. (Charity for parents who
have lost premature babies). Donation for
Support Dogs £100. £659 raised for Sebb a
three-year-old suffering from Christianson
Syndrome. Sponsored a Stafford Rangers
player £250. 21 Shopping bags of food
donated to Social Services for care leavers.
21 Shopping bags donated to Women’s Aid
Stafford. Toiletries for care leavers.
Bought a compact kitchen table and chair
set for a care leaver.£500 to support
treatment for an armed services veteran.
Cooker for care leaver plus a variety of
household items donated by members. £500
donation towards treatment for forces
veteran. £1200 for local food bank. £1200 for
Salvation Army. £125 pledged towards a
defibrillator for Amerton Farm. £400 for
partially-sighted children to visit Drayton Farm.
£200 for Women’s Aid for room

for the Ukraine and finally £100 for ‘Millie’s
Smiles’.
**Service Projects:**
Ongoing projects include recyclingspectacles| and hearing aids. We supply ‘Message in a Bottle’ equipment, ‘Plugsters’ for arthritis sufferers, and ‘Aspods’ to carry dispersible aspirin. In January 2021 we began supporting the Stafford North End Community Vaccination Centre contributed 1,835.25 hours of voluntary service enabling thousands of vaccinations. Members marshal cars in the car park whilst other members volunteer inside the building welcoming, documenting and directing the public who attend for their covid vaccinations and will also help with the influenza vaccine program in the autumn. We went ‘gleaning’ for pumpkins which we gave to the ‘Fairshare’ Charity. **Fundraising:** Our normal fundraising mainly takes place in November and the festive season when we do bucket collections accompanied by Santa’s Elves and a Lion in supermarkets and shopping areas in Stafford and Penkridge. We also raise money through delivering a local directory on a monthly basis. Food: We hold annual food collections in January and July.
