By building new classrooms, funding appropriate equipment and educational materials the schools now offer an excellent level of education wtth examination pass marks that are some of the highest in the area. In this past year we have also fvnded the purchase of 20 sewing machines and carpentry equipment to enable the students at both schools to leam skills that will benefit them and give them an altemative to an academic future should they require it. This equipment has already been used to set up free evening dasses for the local people to ensure everyone has access to support to enable them to make a better future for themselves. Summary ofthe main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity's work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. The medical fund continues to provide life saving trealment to members of the communty. This year this included specialist medical support to an infant with complex needs and horrific bedsores who lost her mother at birth. Wrthout hosprtal treatment the thild would have suffered a long and lingering death but is now recovering with family. Nomially the tharity makes two trtps a year to the communty with sponsors to check on progress of the projects and assess the impact of the support provided. All support is discussed with the community leaders to ensure it ffts in with local customs and beliets and, wthere possible, the aid provided is to enable Ihe receiver to build on that support and become seW_SLrfficient. During Covid we relied heavily on WhatsApp and Zoom to remain in contad with the leaders of the community and tailored our support to meet the unusual and ongoing demands of a country still largely in lockdown. We have continued to require full accountability for all gift5 and donations. Photos are then shared to our regular GO UGANDA NECS Facebook page to ensure all sponsors can see transparently what their money is doing to support the area. Now travel restrictions have been lffted the NECS Trustees are planning a trip in November 2022 to check oirt the communty and review in depth the impact of donations and check all funding has been used appropriately. There I will also be heatth and safety checks to ensure all is ready for a retum to the ljvice yearfy sponsor trips -.n 2023 which provide us wth a complete picture of the results of our funding and the opportunity to finely tune future support. The communty is aware of the SUPF)Ort and advice they can receive from NECS and we are always ready to respond quickly to tragedy or disaster. The area is always prey to landslides and out support of the victims has often been required.

Our regular newsletter is published and available online, in print and is also emailed to all sponsors around the world as well as to the communty so we can all see the work being done and be proaclive in ensuring we build on our suc￿SseS Financial Review Review of the charity's financial posttion at the end of the period The charity does not have any debts. The funds in hand at the end of the financial year total £11,014.67. The money held is money waiting to be sent out to Uganda to pay for sponsorships etc. Every donation received is sent in rts entirety to Uganda and is allocated to a specific project which is then followed through. Explanation of any uncertainties about the charity continuing as a going concem The charty is currently solvent and has a regular income from the annual sponsorships provided by members of the public. The regular neV￿letter is key to the continued grovrth in the number of people wtho support the projects we highlight and report on.
