Appointment of Committee and Officers: Vickie to step down from Hall bookings
Laura to step down as Secretary
Michelle to become Secretary (nominated Rachel, seconded Donna) Laura to take over hall bookings (nominated Katie, seconded Vickie)
Laura to become a committee Member (nominated Vickie, seconded Katie)
Re -appointment of Trustees and committee : Laura wishes to step down as trustee. Katie, Vickie and Rachel happy to remain as Trustees
Committee happy to still be in role for another year
Michelle to become a Trustee and Secretary (nominated by Rachel, Seconded by Donna)
Funding and Building Maintenance: The building is in desperate need of repair, we have been advised that a new roof is needed due to the roof being old and leaking, the heating is working intermittently and needs replacing, there is currently no hot water in the building.
We have 2 quotes from local builders/Roofers and will investigate getting a third.
Grants are being applied for, and it was agreed that an EPC certificate could be obtained to see how energy efficient we are, If we are found to be low, we can look into government grants to help with this.
It was suggested that we apply to the Parish council for a set item, and this will be done in the next few weeks. We will wait for EPC to be issued and re discuss.
AOB: Discussed the current numbers being up from last year and that old members have returned which is positive.
Looking at the long-term plans for the club, we will look into the new building being built in Redrow as this is due to have a new youth club in it. We will look into these plans and try to work with them as this will allow young people in the area a safe space to access twice a week rather than once.
Rota for parents to be sent out, where parents are automatically added, this works out approx. one session a year. This will help with the lack of volunteers each week and will allow others to see how we run.
