We had a huge impact from the coronavirus pandemic. Our lessons stopped in March 2020 and resumed at the end of July 2020. We stopped again in November 2020 for 4 weeks. Our lessons also had to stop in December 2020. We have been able to access the furlough scheme, grants and the bounce back loan (£40,000). We have not managed to return to all our venues still.
Aims/Objectives of our charity:
To advance the education of the public in the subject of swimming and water safety. Creating lifelong learners and participants.
To advance the education of the pupils at educational institutions by providing swimming lessons. Teaching children vital skills of swimming, water safety and install life long skills.
To provide educational water safety courses for children in north Staffordshire to attend. Educating and increasing knowledge of risks involved with water activities.

Our charity purposes are continuing to benefit the public, as we are offering members the opportunity to be educated and learn the skills essential in order to swim and stay safe in the water environment. delivering schemes of work, delivering progressive swimming lessons and completing relevant assessments.
Future plan
Over the next 12 months we want Water Stars Foundation to continue to grow its number of members. This would allow more children access to our services and to swimming tuition. Therefore,
providing more members the opportunity to become life-long participants and the skills to continue to stay safe in and around water including every-day life when visiting the seaside, going abroad, visiting canals or rivers etc. We are developing our water safety section and links with more schools.
We will aim to continue to grow our school educational lessons in line with government National Curriculum guidelines.
Recruiting
Water Stars Foundation will be recruiting more staff members to continue to help the foundation grow and offer more availability for its current and new members to access our services.
