Tottington Woodlanders AGM and Accounts
The AGM was held in Upper Beeding Village Hall. Small Dole Village Hall having become unavailable at the last moment due to redecorating. Despite the late shift of venue, the attendance was good. At the meeting it was agreed that Tottington Woodlanders year should be split into two separate cycles. The Financial Cycle which runs from 1[st] April to 31[st] of March and the Work Cycle which will run between AGM’s. As we hold our AGM in Autumn (usually September) this will give us the opportunity to account for the full year.
The usual business was concluded promptly, with the accounts being accepted and the committee of trustees voted in. The exception to the Trustees was Frank Wright, who stood down from the committee and the role of Treasurer. Frank was duly thanked for all of his dedication and hard work and presented with a small gift. A synopsis of the year was delivered by the Chair.
A short break ensued with nibbles and a glass of wine. Then the woodlanders were entertained by Billy Elliot from the local Animal Rescue Service. He gave us a great insight into the activities of the service and the diverse types of work they undertake on an average day. Some of his tales are highly amusing, but do not detract from the vital work the service makes in the local community.
