Trustees Annual Report (2022)
This year we had lower numbers of children attending the setting, due to it being a low birth rate, however this did not stop our team from working tirelessly throughout the year – a big thank you to them as always! We switched to using the “Famly” app, so far this has been a great help in reducing admin work, as well as keeping observations and correspondence all in one place. We also began using Quickbooks.
We worked with a local web designer to build a new, streamlined website. This has been a welcomed addition and has been well received by our preschool families, both current and upcoming.
We had another good year for fundraising, raising money through various events we put on. We also began running a monthly community event in the village hall as a fundraiser to help us cover the ever increasing costs of running Pre-School.
Maintenance
We had a grant from the council that allowed us to build a toilet in the garden, A staff member decorated the kitchen, and the committee decorated the bathroom.
We purchased a new washing machine.
Next year
Our plan for the upcoming year is to replace several of our white goods, flooring, and larger equipment. As well as ensuring we are staying in line with living wage standards.
