Chair’s Report
27.9.21
It has been another tough year but once again I am blown away by Tia and the team’s resilience and can-do attitude. A huge well done to them all for getting through this challenging time and continuing to adapt where needed to align with Government restrictions.
As a parent I never had any worries or concerns with my child being here in the preschool and I feel that the Busy Bees that have just left had as good of a lead into school as any other year.
I think it has been amazing that even through everything the preschool has continued to grow the offer of what is available to the children – with the introduction of the Worker Bee group, sports with Josh, walks around the local area etc all of which are loved by the children.
It has been nice to have been able to do some fund raising over the past year with some raffles, bags4schools and sale of the farm photos. It has been so hard as a committee over the last 18months to not have been as involved as we would have liked to with fund raising and even being able to interact with the staff and get to know the new members of the team. Fingers crossed that will be more of a possibility in the coming year.
It is with sadness that I am stepping down as Chair – even though I have not had the smoothness 3years it has been an amazing opportunity to be part of such a wonderful preschool. It has been great to be part of such a proactive team of people across the years who have all pulled together whether at a fund-raising event or on a maintenance day to get the job done. It has to me always felt that everyone on the committee has had an equal part to play and say in the decisions that needed to be made.
I wish the preschool all the best for the future, and I am sure it will continue to flourish.
