| Policy on grant making | Para 1.38 | Yes - Applicants for grants are required to submit evidence of financial need (social assistance/housing etc) and are interviewed by two trustees. A formula is applied to identify the percentage of fees to be covered by a grant to consider economic status and number of children and time associated with the charity. |
Achievements and performance
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | During 2021/22 the charity continued to enable approx. 5/6 families – a number with more than one child - to access football training and competition which provides them with both physical exercise but also with a structured and safe after-school environment. Given the limited fund raising opportunities through the remaining months of the COVID pandemic the charity provided this support direct and also looked at opportunities to stretch the reach of the limited funds available – working with other organisations such as Casual Ballerz and more directly with schools. |

The charity aims to provide educational support as well as access to football coaching however this has not yet materialised. Access to pitches continued to be problematic and working through existing organisations such as schools was deemed a more effective use of funds. |

Para 1.41 | There is a consistent body of supporters of the charity and a regular calendar of fund raising events is taking shape to spread the load across the school year. Events include: a gala event (most probably to take place bi- annually), a charity tournament at the end of the season, Easy fundraising donations (supported by purchases on Amazon) as well as some individual donations. |

Para 1.21 | At the end of the period – after some £4,822.21 was applied to grants we had unutilised funds of £12,843.05 which was carried over to the next year (the financial year being out of alignment with the school year). The reduced level of grant donation reflected the continued reduced access to sports during the final months of the pandemic. |
