Structure and details of management, including recruitment of trustees
Management of charity affairs carried out by key volunteers (head volunteer Matthew Linares) and supported and overseen by the board. This has involved organising street events, documenting them for online audiences and reaching out to partners and community groups.
Board trustees are still in tenure, as such no new recruitment of trustees has been required.
Activities and objectives in the year
We continued running events, enlisting and training new volunteers and testing new activities.
Achievements and performance, including reports on its public benefit
Street Scenes ran sporadic events in London locations, shared via newsletter, Facebook, Instagram and word of mouth. We continued collaborating with the social centre, House of Annetta, which is active in community building work in a similar geographical area to us.
We received a great many words of support and encouragement from members of the public, some of whom went on to become volunteers.
Financial review
We have not put as much emphasis on fundraising as we have on running events this year.
Annual accounts have been completed and reviewed by the board.
