thought for the benefit of the general public of Bolton, in particular but not
exclusively by holding prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of
religious festivals, producing and/ or distributing literature, promoting
publications, writings, discussions, gatherings, talks, teaching, religious
education and by any other means as the trustees shall in their discretion
determine to enlighten others about the Islamic religion.
To prevent or relieve poverty by providing: grants, items and services to
individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to
prevent or relieve poverty.
To promote religious harmony for the benefit of the public by: promoting
knowledge and mutual understanding and respect of the beliefs and
practices of different religious faiths, to build common ground and
promote good relations between persons of different faiths.| |---|---| ||The charity carries out a wide range of activities in pursuance of its
charitable aims. The trustees consider that these activities, summarised
below, provide benefit both to those who worship at our Mosque and the
wider community of Bolton.
Our Mosque provides a centre for our prayers and worship and for the
activities associated with our faith. During the year under review, we
offered a range of religious services and activities including:
**Prayers**: The Mosque is open all day for daily and Friday prayers.
**Festivals**: The Mosque prepares food during Ramadan for those
attending our Mosque who wish to break their fast together. Eid was also
celebrated at the Eidgah (open air enclosure). We also celebrate Saints’
days and celebrate the birth of our Prophet Muhammad, Peace and
Blessings Be Upon Him.
**Marriage Services**: The Mosque providesgrowing need of support for
men and women seeking appropriate partners for Marriage.

**Educational classes**: We provide a madrasah (education institute)
which gives our students strong foundations of Islamic knowledge to help
them and guide them throughout their lives. Additional focus on
etiquettes, mannerisms and focus on quality of education with frequent
monitoring and parent engagement.
**Community**: We work with the community to tackle community and
social issues. We always look to promote and build common ground and
good relations between persons of different faiths.
We confirm we have had regard to public benefit guidance issued by the

March **2012** **TAR** 4 ## Section D Achievements and performance **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** During this accounting period (year ended 31.03.25), the trustees are pleased to report that, as in previous years, the charity has continued to perform well. We thank and praise Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta‘ala for His blessings and ask Him to accept our humble efforts. Ameen. ## **Educational Services** Alhamdulillah, our educational services continue to flourish, with classes going from strength to strength year on year. This continued progress reflects the dedication and hard work of our teachers, as well as the commitment and support of our students and their families. ## **IEC Marriage Website** Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to report that IEC Marriage continues to grow and thrive. Each year, we have seen a steady increase in users, demonstrating the trust and confidence that the community places in our platform. ## **New Generation | New Vision Project** Alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah. Following the acceptance of the planning application for our project on 22 February 2024, we reached a significant milestone. We are deeply grateful to Allah for this blessing. ## **Actions Taken** 1. **Development of a Detailed Plan** - Multiple project quotations were obtained from builders, with Haji Sadik Munshi taking the lead and providing valuable insight from his extensive experience in the building sector. Timelines, budgets, and resource allocation were carefully discussed. 2. **Organised Meetings** Meetings were held with local Members of Parliament to seek their input on the project and to address any concerns. These constructive discussions helped improve understanding and awareness of the project among our MPs. 3. **Commencement of Works** - A momentous milestone was reached when initial construction works began on Sunday 7 April 2024 (27th Ramadan 1445 AH). 4. **Community Engagement** A community-wide campaign was launched to invite volunteers with relevant skills, experience, and passion to contribute to the project. Meetings were arranged, introductions were made, and individual skills were identified. 5. **Fundraising Activities** - **Alhamdulillah!** Community volunteers raised £16,758 by completing the Old Man of Coniston Hike on Saturday 6 July 2024. May Allah reward them abundantly. Ameen. - **Ramadan 1446 AH (21 March 2025) Live Appeal** – The community came together in a spirit of unity and generosity to support the project. 6. **Brick-Laying Ceremony** - A truly historic milestone was achieved on Sunday 30 March 2025, when the community gathered for a momentous bricklaying ceremony. Esteemed Ullema and Sa’dat ceremonially laid the first bricks of the new project. May Allah guide us and make this project a source of lasting benefit for the community. Care is taken to accumulate suffia6nt funds at the end of the year to cover all antiopated running costs during the following financial year without having to use the £1000 minimum balance.
