||The charity carries out a wide range of activities in pursuance of its<br>charitable aims. The trustees consider that these activities, summarised<br>below, provide benefit both to those who worship at our Mosque and the<br>wider community of Bolton.<br>Our Mosque provides a centre for our prayers and worship and for the<br>activities associated with our faith. During the year under review, we<br>offered a range of religious services and activities including:<br>**Prayers**: The Mosque is open all day for daily and Friday prayers.<br>**Festivals**: The Mosque prepares food during Ramadan for those<br>attending our Mosque who wish to break their fast together. Eid was also<br>celebrated at the Eidgah (open air enclosure). We also celebrate Saints’<br>days and celebrate the birth of our Prophet Muhammad, Peace and<br>Blessings Be Upon Him.<br>**Marriage Services**: The Mosque providesgrowing need of support for<br>men and women seeking appropriate partners for Marriage.<br> <br>**Educational classes**: We provide a madrasah (education institute)<br>which gives our students strong foundations of Islamic knowledge to help<br>them and guide them throughout their lives. Additional focus on<br>etiquettes, mannerisms and focus on quality of education with frequent<br>monitoring and parent engagement.<br>**Community**: We work with the community to tackle community and<br>social issues. We always look to promote and build common ground and<br>good relations between persons of different faiths.<br>We confirm we have had regard to public benefit guidance issued by the<br>Charity Commission.|

The primary contribution has been made by the voluntary Trustees, but in addition voluntary staff, parents and supporters have contributed their time and labour without charge.

## Section D                      Achievements and erformance p 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

During this accounting period (y/e 31.03.23), the trustees consider that, like in the previous years, the charity has performed well. We thank and praise Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for this and ask him to accept our humble efforts, Ameen. 

**Educational services** – Nursery and Reception class are going from strength to strength. Waiting list is increasing. The need for more space is required hence the New Generation | New Vision Project. More field based activities have happened this year, Which has been a success with the students and parents. 

**IEC Marriage website** – Alhamdullilah successful matches have increased during the period. Users have increased year on year. Website improvements have been implemented within the background from the feedback we received by our user in the last year and is scheduled to go live in September 2023. 

**New Generation | New Vision Project** 

No decision has been made so far. We are in constant communication with the council in order to complete the required surveys requested. As per previous year Lillah donations have been raised for the project to.

Brief statement of the
charity's pollcy on reserves
The CIO falls under the £500,000 turnover boundary for detailed financi81
accounting being a reqU1￿Ment. The CIO has no specific declared policy
on reserves but will maintain a minimum bank account balan￿ of £1000
in order to meet any completely urrforeseen expenses. Care is taken to
accumulale sifficrent funds at the end of the year to cover all anticipated
running costs during the following finanaal year without having to use Ihe
£1000 minimum balan￿. There is an operating surplus for this year
