Para 1.20 | St David’s Playgroup and Nursery Plus continued to provide pre-school education to local children between April 2022 and March 2023. A trial was introduced in 2022 to reduce the minimum age for children attending from 2 years, 4 months to 2 years. This trial also extended the opening time of the provision to 9am from 11:25am. The aim of this trial was to identify whether the provision could better serve the needs of the local community and increase attendance. |

Para 1.21 | The balance for the provision as at 31 March 2023 was £38,461.66. This was an increase from the end of the previous financial year of £7,693.12. The total turnover was £43,451.56 and expenses were £35758.44. The main driver of the increased balance was an increase in income, including a grant to pay for new outdoor flooring. |
