exclusively by:
1) Providing an accessible and afordable performance
venue, for the residents of Stafordshire and its
surrounding counties.
2) Advancing the education of the performing arts, theatre,
music, dance and cinema to further the development of
public appreciation.| |---|---| ||Our aim is to provide a vibrant event space for the growing
town of Stone and surrounding areas. People from various
established community groups have joined together to form the
Crown Wharf Theatre charity with the aim of creating an
afordable and accessible facility for the whole community. This
project is about creating enhanced local access to arts and
culture, advancing education and learning for children and
adults and inspiring community participation across a range of
performing arts and cultural activities.
In light of the pandemic we wanted to be there to support our
community in once again engaging with each other and the
place that they live. We started the year with an online event
accessible to all and as confdence grew throughout the year,
so did our ofering, most importantly with many events
completely free to attend.
The signing of the lease and the opening of the pub gave us
both ownership and a venue to begin hosting events from and a
base to meet with potential sponsors, users, supporters, and
volunteers. Having something to showcase, really helped
strengthen support and confdence in the project from all sides.
We confrm that the trustees have had regard to the Charity
Commission’s guidance on public beneft.| ## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)** 3 March **2012** **TAR** The support of our volunteer base (our “Crown Wharfers”) is vital to our success and is a great indication that the CWT project and messages are getting out there. Many of our events this year relied upon their support and we were heartened to welcome back many familiar faces alongside many new faces. Main achievements for 2021
 Events
o Live Stream of A Midsummer Night’s Dream
(Digital event)
o Sneak Peek site tours.
o Our first Theatre Takeover event took place on
the August bank holiday and brought an
eclectic mix of ukuleles, musical theatre,
Shakespeare, live comedy and a pub sing-a-
long to the town.
o With the support of Stone Food & Drink
Festival we brought our first ever music
festival to the town “Wharfstock”.
 Fundraising Activities
o Successful funding bid from The Community
and Environment Fund.
o The community continued to support our seat
sponsorship scheme.
o Securing our first Gold, Silver & Bronze
Founding Partners.
o Generous donations of building materials, a
kitchen and white goods.
o Music Theatre International’s All Together Now
event helped raised valuable funds to the
project.
o Volunteers on behalf of CWT helped marshal
the Ironman event helping to secure a
charitable donation.
o The launch of “Much A-Brew About Nothing”
saw £1 of every pint sold donated to the
project.
o Joules Brewery continued to support the
project through various fundraising events
from the Crown Wharf Turkey Trot (which CWT
supported with volunteers) to a Christmas
quiz.

o Permanent information board setup in the
auditorium entrance and a project FAQ
document displayed throughout the pub.
o Information stand set up across all events
(including a 3-day presence across the Stone
Food & Drink Festival).

o Auditorium now has mains power and the first
