Annual Review Chairmans Report
The year under review has continued to be difficult and post Covid we have not seen any decline in demand for our services, quite the reverse in fact.
That we have managed to keep up with the demand and its associated costs to us is a huge tribute to my fellow trustees, our volunteers and our therapists who have worked tirelessly to continue to serve our community at the time of greatest need. Please remember that no one who works for us receives any salary. We have never turned an applicant, carer, or family away and we never will.
There has been strain on our finances, as will be seen elsewhere in this report and this has led to us having to introduce a very modest annual membership charge especially to help with our administration costs. Covid and the restrictions it placed upon our ability to provide a service, has meant that we have brought our IT system up to date so that in the event of any future major event that prevents us from getting into the office we will still be able to access records etc remotely. Thus, we will be sure of our ability to continue to run the operation successfully.
Regretfully I cannot see any lessening in demand for our services in the medium term, but rest assured that the incredible team I have the honour to work with will continue to be available to all who need our help.
