Objectives and Activities

Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	To advance the religion of Islam by means of, but not exclusively, the provision of facilities for Islamic education, delivery of spiritually uplifting talks, celebration of Islamic festivals and provision of guidance and support for reverts and those seeking to learn more about the teachings of Islam, in accordance with the teachings of the Shia ithna-asheri school of thought;

To advance in life and relieve needs of young people through: (a) the provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life; (b) providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.

Over the year the Charity did not operate fully due to Pandemic and focusing on existing charity operations. The original intention of transferring from an old charity into a CIO structure did not complete and other circumstances meant that we were unable to fully put the charity in operation (opening and linking accounts, setting structure, implementing campaigns, transferring assets from old charity trust etc). Everything was put on hold.
