The Club organises numerous events throughout the year in the Acle and Brundall area which not only help to raise funds but are specifically run for the benefit of the local community.

Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

Money raised by the Club through a variety of events organised each year is used for the benefit of the local community, whether that be an individual, organisation or an institution serving a wider area which includes ours. Donations made to charities/causes between 1[st] Jul 2023 and 30[th] Jun 2024 include but not limited to: £1,000 donation to both the East Anglian Air Ambulance and Norfolk Accident Rescue Service. £500 donation to both Nelson’s Journey (supports children and young people in Norfolk who've experienced the death of a significant person) and MND charity in recognition of a local lady who swam the Channel. £250 donations to help: a local youngster competing in the Special Olympics; the Norfolk Deaf Association; a local men’s Shed (for those struggling with mental health issues). Donations to three local Scout groups to help with the purchase of equipment. Provision of a Christmas tree and presents for the residents of a local care home.

Monthly updates are given to members on funds available, which will reflect any event activity at any given time.
