Examples: - annual Summer Fun Day and also a Christmas Fair which are free entry for the public and where the Club invites other charities to raise monies for themselves - organising Garage Sales in several villages which are for the benefit of the local communities **Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** - provision of a Christmas Tree and presents for the elderly residents of a care home in Brundall - running various other events for people to participate in and enjoy, while raising funds for local causes The trustees believe that members of Acle and Brundall Lions Club, in carrying out their duties, do so purely for the benefit of the local community. ## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)** You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about: - policy on grantmaking; - policy programme related investment; - contribution made by volunteers. **TAR** March **2012** 4 Section D Achievements and performance **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** Money raised by the Club through a variety of events organised each year is used for the benefit of the local community, whether that be an individual, organisation or an institution serving a wider area which includes ours. Donations made to charities/causes between 1[st] Jul 2022 and 30[th] Jun 2023 include: £1,000 donation toward playground equipment at Brundall Primary School. £500 donation to Norfolk Accident Rescue Service for the purchase of specialised uniforms. £500 donation to a local pre-school to help install an access ramp to the building. £500 and £250 donations to help two local residents purchase adaptable wheelchairs. Gift tokens for a local family who suffered a bereavement to enable them to take a holiday break. Provision of a Christmas tree and presents for the residents of a local care home. Donation toward an adaptable bed for a local disabled boy. **TAR** March **2012** 5 **Section E Financial review** **Brief statement of the** **charity’s policy on reserves** Funds are unrestricted and available for use as and when appropriate and agreed by all members of the Club. Monthly updates are given to members on funds available, which will reflect any event activity at any given time.
