Acle and Brundall Lions Club are part of Lions Clubs International and operate within the County of Norfolk (England), more specifically the area surrounding the villages of Acle and Brundall in the Broadland Council District of the County of Norfolk.
Acle and Brundall Lions Club are within British Isles District 105CE, which includes Clubs in Norfolk, Essex, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Nottinghamshire.

The Club organises numerous events throughout the year in the Acle and Brundall area which not only help to raise funds but are specifically run for the benefit of the local community.
Examples:

organising an Annual Summer Fun Day and also a Christmas Fair which are free entry for the public and where the Club invites other charities to raise monies for themselves
-
organising Garage Sales in several villages which are for the benefit of the local communities

provision of a Christmas Tree and presents for the elderly residents of a care home in Brundall

running various other events for people to participate in and enjoy, while raising funds for local causes
The trustees believe that members of Acle and Brundall Lions Club, in carrying out their duties, do so purely for the benefit of the local community.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
Money raised by the Club through a variety of events organised each year is used for the benefit of the local community, whether that be an individual, organisation or an institution serving a wider area which includes ours. Donations made to charities/causes between 1[st] Jul 2020 and 30[th] Jun 2021 were severely restricted due to a lack of fund raising during the pandemic but include: Donation to a local school nursery to help them with a shortfall in funding during the pandemic.
Donation to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital Charities Trust.
Provision of Chrsitmas tree and presents for the reidents of a local care home.

charity’s policy on reserves
Funds are unrestricted and available for use as and when appropriate and agreed by all members of the Club. Monthly updates are given to members on funds available, which will reflect any event activity at any given time. The Club ensures that there are always sufficient funds available before making donations.
