Continued to work in collaboration with the Centre for Informatics and Professional Development (CMIPD) UK to ensure donated cervical screening kits are distributed and utilised. We successfully delivered the acquired colposcope to Ekiti State Teaching Hospital in Nigeria. This is now being put into use. Shalom Health International trustees decided to work with a local NGOs in Nigeria involved in cervical cancer elimination. The Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN) was chosen for support. |

Para 1.20 | Delivery of the colposcope donated colposcope to Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital. Shalom Health International supported a visiting gynaecologist to the UK, (supported by the British Society of Colposcopist and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) in 2017). SHI trustee visited Ekiti State in 2018 to join in creating awareness. After the disruption caused by Covid, SHI has been able to procure a colposcope and delivered to Ekiti State. This is now being used in conjunction with cervical screening to help diagnosis and management of preinvasive cervical Lesions in the locality. Identification of local NGO in Nigeria to support (Medical Women Association of Nigeria) following Trustees resolution to expand the reach beyond Ekiti State. Upgrade of Shalom Health International website (Ongoing) to enable digital access to accurate information on cervical cancer screening and address misconceptions. |
