Objectives and activities:

The objectives for which the charity was established are:
For the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of animals in need of care and attention by providing animal care, a rescue home, veterinary treatment including neutering and a sanctuary for animals that have been abandoned, mistreated or lost.
To provide rehabilitation to animals that have experienced trauma and/or behaviour issues and ensure that they can live the best life possible
To find safe, loving permanent homes for rescued animals, which meet their individual needs

Achievement and performance:

The charity continues to perform and promote the core values which were established by Laura and Cliff Santini.

We have re-homed more than 70 dogs from both the UK and Europe. We have also helped re-home cats, rabbits, hamsters, ducks and chickens. When possible we help with other rescues too. Our vet fees have increased mainly due to the public surrendering their unneutered and unvaccinated dogs and Holbrook then having to get them done.

We have 14 Sanctuary animals which will live out their lives at Holbrook.

Fundraising continues to be our main focus and we have been fortunate this year to receive a large donation from a local computer games company who continue to support us an our work. We have a broad range of ways in which the public can donate including through the website, PayPal, Just giving and via our social media platforms.

The Trustee's thanks go to the 50 plus dedicated volunteers, without whom we would not be able to operate.

Financial Review

At the end of the financial year our income was £ 271,870.00 and our spending £199,467. 00

We are still facing challenges with the impending need to move the Charity. Our aim is to build a new facility which will also have amenities for community groups to visit and learn about animal husbandry and dog safety and care and we are currently working towards this as an end goal. We are currently awaiting planning permission from Horsham council, on our acquired site.

Structure, Governance and Management

The charity is run by the trustee board and trustee meetings are held on a regular basis. Any changes to the current procedures are agreed and documented.
