TRUSTEES REPORT 2022-2023 – BURNLEY LIONS CLUB (CIO)

Membership has remained the same this year.

Funds were raised mainly by placing 16 Easter eggs in various establishments and from organising the Towneley 10K road race.

About 300 trees were planted on 08/01/23 along with Trees for Burnley and Burnley BC; 1200 pairs of spectacles were taken to Bury Lions for onward transport with others to Lions HQ in Birmingham; 147 Message in a Bottle containers were given and distributed; two lions run the Macular Society support group in Burnley. Monthly meetings include a summer outing, Christmas lunch and speakers or entertainment; St John’s junior school was entered for the Lions’ District Peace Poster Competition but did not win this year.
