TRUSTEES REPORT 2020-2021 – BURNLEY LIONS CLUB (CIO)
We were sad this year to lose three trustees/members, S & C Hunt and D Pascoe.
Covid restrictions severely affected the club’s ability to raise funds, with Easter egg receipts well down (shops and public house closures) and inability to run the annual 10K race, which would have been a large gathering of people. However enough was raised to allow the number of grants shown and to prepare for the delayed 10k race later in the year. Only one session of tree planting was possible, 105 being planted in April; 450 pairs of used spectacles were recycled; and the local Macular Society support group monthly meetings or outings were organised and supported by members.
