The Trustees have pleasure in presenting their report and the accounts for the year ended 31" March 2025. The
accounts have been prepared in accordance with accounting policies set out in Note I to the accounts, FRS 102,
the Statement of Recommended Practice "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" and the Charities Act 2011.
The Charitable Incorporated Organisation ICIOI. called Honeybourne Village Hall111814501. was established on
January 2019 with the same purpose and objertives a5 the unincorporated charity called Honeybourne Village
Hall15231551. On I, April 2019 all the assets. liabilities and funds of this unincorporated charity were transferred
to the CIO and all adivities ceased within the unincorporated charity. Referen￿S in these accounts to °the
hariv refer to either entity, depending on the context.

STRUCTURE, GOVEIiANCE AND MANAGEMENT
The charity is controlled by its constitution and is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIOI.
Trustees are appointed by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. In selecting
individuals for appointment, the charity trustees have regard to the skills. knowledge and experience needed for
the effective administration of the CIO.
The charity is run by the Trustees. meeting regularly to administer the charity and at least four times a year.

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and alms
The objertive of the charity is to represent all those with an interest in the local comrnunity. and by working in
partnership, provide for improvement in the local environ5 for an involved and valued community. This objertive
is met by providing an available, sustainable. and well-maintained village hall, providing a focal point for the
village thereby bringing the local community together.
Publit benefit
The Trustees tonfimi that they have complied with the duty in section 17151 of the 2011 Charities Act to have
due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit when deciding on the charit￿5
activities.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Over the past 12 months we can once again look back on the many successful events we've held including, quiz
night5, regular movie nights, free lunch event for the local over 60,5 parishioners of the village. Table Top sale5,
a live theatre production, along with a Christmas pantomime and a music and dance night. We continue to host
a wide variety of regular classes for all ages of the community. meetings. social activities and our weekly coffee
mornin& as well as private hirers to the local community continue to increase, along with increased bookinES
from local businesses using our facilities. All of this activity has two purp05es- to fulfil our mission statement of
"making the hall the centre of the village communiv and to ensure we generate sufficient income to cover our
day to day expenditure and build up our reserves for future costs.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The artivities of the hall generated income of £39.709. Expenditure of £30.742 delivered a Net Income position
of £8,967 before depreciation charges.
FUNDS
Restrirted funds are tied to a particular purpose. as specif:ed by tile donor. The charity has a re5trirted fund
balan￿ of £852.022 as at 31 Marth 2025 which relètes tip net value of the construrtion of the new hall
facility.
UArestricted funds comprise those funds that are not SLFbjert'¥O Specific donor restrictions placed on them. Total
unrestrirted funds at 31 March 2025 We￿ E95.644.
RESERVES POUCY
The charivs normal policy is to generate and maintain adequate funds and reserves for the efficient running of
the charity on a day to day basis. The poliry of the charity is for hall lettings and fundraising activities to be
sufficient to meet the ongoing costs of running the charity.
PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS
Looking to the future. we intend to hold regular events over the year {movie night. quiz night and other events)
to generate additional income to support the running of the village hall. We intend to promote and encourage
the use of the hall for business purposes, by promoting the village hall outside of the local community and attract
additional users for the hall during weekday5 and promoting the hall for private weekend hirers for events such
as parties and weddings.

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees. Annual Report and the financial ststements in
accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards {United Kingdom Gerberally Accepted
Accounting Practice).
The law applicable to charities in England & Wales requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each
financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resourtes
and application of resources of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial statements. the trustees
are required to-

make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent-
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to
presume that the charity will continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting record5 that disc105ewith reasonable accuracy at any
time the financial position of the charity and erbable them to ensure that the finantial statements comply with
the Charities Art 2011. the Charities (Accounts and Report51 Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the trust
deed. They are also re5p0nsiE￿e for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps
for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularitie&

Accountlng Policies
Basis of preparation
The Honeybourne Village Hall meets the definition of a public benefit entty under FRS 102.
These accounts have been prepared in accordan￿ with Accounting and Reporting by Charities:
Statement of Recommended Prartice, applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS
1021. and the Charities Art 2011.
The financial statements are prepared on a going concem basis under the historical cost
convention, unless Otherwise stated in the relevant accounting policy note. The financial
statements are presented in sterlin& which is the functional currency of the charity.
Income
Income. including grants retrivable and donations, is recognised in the period in which the charity
is entitled to receipt and the amount can be measured with reasonable accuracy. Income is
deferred only when the charity has to fulfil conditions before becoming entitled to it or where the
donor has specified thatthe income is to be expended in a future period.
The value of volunteer help received is not included in the accounts but is described in the trustees,
Annual Report where applicable.
lil) Expenditure
Expenditure is reco8nised on an accruals basi5 a5 a liability is incurred. Irrecoverable VAT is included
as part of the expenditure to which it relates. Expenditure is classified under headings that
aggregate all similar costs and which can then be related to costs of raising funds or charitable
activities. Costs of management, administration and governance are allocated to charitable
activities. Governance costs are those associated with Coilstitutional and statutory requirements.
iv) Fixed assets
Tangible assets are initially recorded at cost, and subsequently stated at cost less any accumulated
depreciation and impairment1055e5.
Depreciation is calculated so as to write off the c05t or valuation of an asset, less its residual value,
over the useful economic life of that asset as follows-

Depreciation is charged on completion of a construction project.
Funds
Where there is a restriction imposed bythe donor on the purposeto which a fund can be used, the
fund is classified as a Restricted Fund.
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objects at the discretion of the
trustees.
The charity has no endowment funds.

vil Financial instruments
The charity has elected to apply the provisions of Sertion 11 'Basic Financial Instruments, and
Section 12 '0ther Financial Instrument Issues, of FRS 102 to all of its finanaal instruments.
Financial instruments are recognised in the charity's balance sheet when the company becomes
party to the contractual provisions of the instrument.
Financial assets and liabilities are oftset, wtth the net amounts presented in the financial
statements, when there is a legally enforceable right to set off the recognised amounts and there
is an intention to settle on a net basis or to realise the asset and settle the liability simultaneously.

Basic financial assets, which include debtors and cash and bank balances, are initially measured at
transaction price including transartion costs and are subsequently carried at amortised cost using
the effective interest method unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where
the transaction is measured at the present value of the future receipts discounted at a market rate
of interest. Financial assets classified as receivable within one year are not amortised.

Financial liabilities and equity instruments are classified accordlng to the substance of the
contractual arrangements entered into. An equity instrument is any contratt that evidences a
residual interest in the assets of the company after deducting all of its liabilities.
Bosicfinoncial lit7bilities
Basic financial liabilities, including creditors. bank loans, loans from group companies and
preference shares that are classified as debt, are inrtiallv recognised at transaction price unless the
arrangement constitutes a financing transartion. wthere i4e debt instrument is measured at the
present value of the future payments discounted a-: a market rate of interest. Financial liabilities
classified as payable within one year are not amortised.
Debt instruments are subsequently carried at amortised cost, using the effective rate of interest
method.
Trade creditors are obligations to pay for goods or servites that have been acquired in the ordinary
course of business from suppliers. Amounts payable are classified a5 current liabilities if payment
is due within one year or less. If not, they are presented as non-current liabilities. Trade creditors
are recognised initially at transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost using the
effective interest method.
