## **REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES For the year ended 31[st] January 2025**

The Trustees present the annual report in conjunction with the financial statements of the Charity for the year ending 31st January 2025.

## **Objectives and Aims:**

The Charity exists to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and to teach people the bible. All our activities reflect these core goals. The Church arranges or participates in a number of activities to this end, namely Bible Conferences, Marriage Seminars, Men’s Discipleships, Revival Meetings with visiting preachers, Tent Crusades (home and abroad).

## **Charitable Activities:**

The church has continued to steadily grow. It has been particularly encouraging to see people in the church share a vision for the core tenets of our faith and indeed fellowship, discipleship, church planting and evangelism. The church has a strong and stable foundation which I confidently expect will continue to grow with the blessing of God. One of our key goals is to move to a bigger building that will draw more people to the church. We strongly believe that men and women in the church will also respond to the call of pastoral ministry in the Lord’s harvest field.

## **Financial Review:**

For the year ending 31[st] January 2025, the charity had total revenue of £36,930 and total expenses of £33,103. The opening reserves were £8,613 and closing reserves were £12,442 resulting in a gain of £3,829.

## **Structure, Governance and Management:**

The composition of the Board of Trustees is currently made up of the following Church council members: Julius Igaba (Chair), Kingsley C Anaba, and Courtney W Stewart. The appointment of the Trustees where required, remains governed by the Constitution of the Church.

The Board of Trustees retain the authority to appoint new trustees to fill vacancies and/or increase the number of Trustees where the need arises. The process for the appointment of new Trustees is laid out in the Constitution as of 4[th] January 2019.

## **Statement of Trustees’ Responsibilities:**

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Report of the Trustees and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).

The law applicable to charities in England and Wales, the Charities Act 2011, Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the trust deed requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources, including the income and expenditure, of the charity for that period. In preparing those financial statements, the trustees are required to

- Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;

- Observe the methods and principles in the Charity SORP;

- Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;

- State whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements;

- Prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business.

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Approved by order of the board of trustees on 25[th] November 2025 and signed on its behalf by:

Pastor Julius Igaba - Trustee
