Achievement and Performance
In the third year of BPC, we have received a grant from South Gloucestershire Council: Area Wide Grant £700. Due to Covid restrictions our planned Durgotsav festival for October 2020 had to be cancelled. Therefore, the grant amount of £700 was not utilised in this period.
A scaled down version Durga Puja was performed at the registered office of Bristol Puja Committee observing the Covid-19 rules.
Sarbojonin Durgotsav (31.10.2020- 01.11.2020)
Instead of elaborate celebration of Durgotsav, Durga Puja was carried out for two days in presence of only six persons as was permitted by law at that time. The puja was however streamed live on social media for the devotees to offer payer from their homes.
Kojagori Mahalakshmi Puja (01.11.2020)
Lakshmi puja was celebrated at the end of Durga Puja in a similar way.
Sri Saraswati Puja (20.02.2021)
Goddess Saraswati was worshipped without any public attendance. The Puja was carried out by offering flower and prasad to the goddess.
