Achievements and Performance
Support Nepal UK began as the dream of Navin Gurung, to
improve the lives of people living in the village of his
ancestors, Dandaswara. The aims are to complete the
construction of a Welfare Centre, to support the residents of
Dandaswara and the broader Kolma Bahakot area, and
support the maintenance of the building. Volunteer medical
and allied healthcare professionals and gap year students
will stay in the building while they work and gain valuable
experience and explore Nepal. We seek to provide support
in health, sports facilities and better education.
During our frfth year of activity, we were able to contribute
£1,500 towards fumiture, and £100 per month towards the
cost of a caretaker
The building is now ready to welcome visiting medics, and
groups.
The charity is also supporting Sachyam, son of the
caretaker with sponsorship of £50 per month for a school
scholarship
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity's work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
