Section D
Achievements and performance
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
2023
It has been another slow year for the DKF which continues lo be
impacted by Ihe after effects of COVID as we are restricted from doing
much of our work as potential beneficiaries are amongst the most
vulnerable in society.
Work is going on lo increase the momentum and as such the Iruslees are
confident 2024 will see an increase in activity- These are referenced
below..
Future Activities
We have some exciting developments coming up in the summer of 2024.
We are working on developing a relationship with Hertfordshire County
Council in a consultancy capacity on some of their public murals
beginning with the one at the underpass next to Harpenden Station.
We intend to provide an Audio Description of the mural which will be able
to be accessed on site via a QR code so the blind and visually impaired
community will also be able to enjoy what promises to be a wonderful
mural.
We hope to be paid a fee for our work and in turn we will be looking lo
support a local visually impaired 5POrts club or alhlele.
We are also in discussions about similar collaborations on other murals
both within Hertfordshire and with other councils too as we see this as a
good way to support our target audience.
