THE OBJECTS ARE TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT GOODHEALTH AND RELIVE SICKNESS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY:3.1 TO PROMOTE IMPROVEMENT IN THE QUALITY OF CARE FOR PATIENTS ON GENERAL WARDS, WHO REQUIRE LEVEL1 CARE AND ABOVE (SEE DEFINITIONS BELOW).3.2 TO PROMOTE COLLABORATIVE TRANS-DISCIPLINARY AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY PATIENT-CENTERED PARTNERSHIPS3.3 TO SUPPORT THE STAFF CARING FOR PATIENTS ON GENERAL WARDS, WHO REQUIRE LEVEL 1 CARE AND ABOVE.3.4 TO DISSEMINATE BEST PRACTICE EVIDENCE TO THOSE CARING FOR THE LEVEL 1 PATIENT AND ABOVE INWHATEVER THE CLINICAL SETTING.LEVELS OF CRITICAL CARE FOR ADULT PATIENTSINTENSIVE CARE SOCIETY 2009LEVEL 0PATIENTS WHOSE NEEDS CAN BE MET THROUGH NORMAL WARD CARE IN ANACUTE HOSPITALLEVEL 1PATIENTS AT RISK OF THEIR CONDITION DETERIORATING, OR THOSE RECENTLYRELOCATED FROM HIGHER LEVELS OF CARE, WHOSE NEEDS CAN BE MET ON ANACUTE WARD WITH ADDITIONAL ADVICE AND SUPPORT FROM THE CRITICAL CARETEAMLEVEL 2PATIENTS REQUIRING MORE DETAILED OBSERVATION OR INTERVENTION INCLUDINGSUPPORT FOR A SINGLE FAILING ORGAN SYSTEM OR POST-OPERATIVE CARE ANDTHOSE ‘STEPPING DOWN’ FROM HIGHER LEVELS OF CARELEVEL 3PATIENTS REQUIRING ADVANCED RESPIRATORY SUPPORT ALONE, OR BASICRESPIRATORY SUPPORT TOGETHER WITH SUPPORT OF AT LEAST TWO ORGANSYSTEMS. THIS LEVEL INCLUDES ALL COMPLEX PATIENTS REQUIRING SUPPORT FORMULTI-ORGAN FAILURE.

**Activities:** The National Outreach Forum is a group for NHS healthcare professionals, relatives and carers across the UK. Activities are mostly educational and include a members forum, sharing of best practice and evidence, collaborative working with other Critical Care groups and the development of national guidance, policies and educational materials such as clinical competencies to be shared at no charge.
