The Church of St Oswald in the Parish of Grasmere Annual Report of the Parochial Church Council For the year ending 31 st December 2024 Registered charity number 1181346 The Parochial Church Council (PCC) of the Church of St Oswald in Grasmere has the responsibility of co-operating with the Rector of the Parish in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish the whole mission of the Church, spiritual, pastoral, social and ecumenical. The Rector, David Wilmot, resigned from his post in the first quarter of the year, and his successor, Lawrence Basham was installed as the new Rector on 5th November 2024. During the interregnum, the parish was led by the Church Wardens, Ann Jackman and Gerry Rawcliffe, supported by visiting clergy. The elected members of the PCC during the year were Richard Beskeen, Sonia Rickman, David Dodgson, Anne Rawcliffe, Clare Shabi and Matthew Jackman. Helen Bunfield and June Maddison were co-opted on to the PCC. David Jackman was elected Deanery Synod representative and was ex officio a member of the PCC. The PCC met approximately every two months throughout the year. The average Sunday attendance was 25.
