||**Overview**<br>The trustees confirm that all activities have been designed and delivered<br>in accordance with the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.<br>In 2024, the Association of Polish Engineers in Great Britain advanced its<br>charitable objectives through a broad range of initiatives.<br>**Knowledge Sharing and Training**<br>Under this theme, the Association delivered a series of lectures and<br>workshops as part of the “Czwartek4You” banner. Sessions explored<br>topics including the Colne Valley Viaduct—the UK’s longest railway<br>bridge—innovations in brain technologies, practical applications of<br>Google Maps for business, geotechnical solutions to combat climate<br>change, and creative approaches in construction. Additionally, the<br>Technical Academy provided targeted project management workshops,<br>and an “Architectural Moments” event offered insights into<br>contemporary trends in architecture.<br>**Collaboration and Networking**<br>The charity strengthened its international links by participating in and<br>supporting various conferences and training events. Notable events<br>included the EFPSNT AGM in Heidelberg, training sessions in Dubai and<br>the Emirates, and the World Engineering Day Celebration in Warsaw.<br>**Publishing and Digital Engagement**<br>A dedicated social media bot disseminated regular posts on engineering<br>topics and promoted initiatives such as the “Polish Your English” series,<br>which introduced technical vocabulary while addressing current<br>engineering issues like COP29 and innovative methane conversion<br>processes. In addition, an online blog featured extended articles on a<br>diverse range of subjects, from public health discussions to<br>recommendations for engineering-focused YouTube channels.<br>**Community Outreach**<br>Community engagement was enhanced through the “Profesjonaliści z<br>Młodzieżą po Polsku” meeting, which brought together Polish<br>professionals and youth from Polish Saturday Schools. Furthermore, a<br>festive Christmas celebration united members and supporters of the<br>Association, featuring traditional elements such as barszcz and pierogi.<br>These activities have significantly contributed to promoting professional<br>development, fostering international collaboration, and enhancing<br>community engagement for the public benefit.|

The Association is to maintain a reserve fund. The reserve fund is created in order to encounter risk of unforeseen emergency or other unexpected need for funds, e.g. an unexpected large repair bill or finding ‘seed-funding’ for an urgent project. The reserve fund is to be included in the planned budget and should equate to 3 months average expenditure but not less than £2000.
