craftspeople and designeis based in Great Yarmoulh. and originalprojects.,

£551.60, giving an operoling profil of £1.703.14 which goes towards supporling the on-
going running costs of Ihe chorily.

that o move towards bringing together oll oclivilies under the premise of an 'exploded ort
school, (which considers the whole of the town os o ploce ol sludyl could be o useful way
forward in terms ol lying together thinking ond presenting a cohesive programme.
Yarmokers was o dynamic 12-monlh program which begon in November 2023, cenlered on
creativily and resilience, drawing inspiration from Great Yarmouth's rch Iradilion of skilled
croltsmanship, ils history of productive industry. ond a commilmenl lo ongoing innovation.
Our goal was to foster on environmenl where ideas thrive and lasting sociol connections are
forged. From November 2023 lo September 2024 we provided a diverse range of FREE
enriching experiences. including: creative workshops. lively social events. Ihoughl-provoking
tolks, engaging screenings. aplivating events and exhibitions.
This work was made possible through 5UPPOrt from the Creolive Lives Know Your
Neighbourhood project funded by the Deparlmenl ol Media & Sport IDCMSI ond Arts Council
Englond IACEI.

The project was guided by feedback from participants through regular focus groups, enabling
them lo guide the direclion of travel. It provKled skil15 and development for studio members
and local artists and makers in terms of how lo run workshops. and built up a network of
proclilioners who were oble lo oller each other mutual support and share learning, as well as
creating a pool ol skilled artists lor fulure delivery.

2024 saw a return of the YARMONICS Festival of Sound and New Music delivered in
collaboration wilh Eastern Ear following a fallow year in 2023.

close lo £30,000 funding vic the Arts Council Projecl Grant Gross Roots Music Fund, along with
£2,5(K) from The Ranworth Trust.

The Hippodrome, Primeyorc, the 'sunken gorden, and underneolh Brilonnio Pier.

Shortwave Collective- an olFlemole group of artists working with radio waves- they
delivered a series of workshops wilh local groups building homemade radios and
created a film and fanzine.
Moriom Rezaei- o lurntoblisl who visited The Acorn Cenlre la youth club for older
people managed by Age Concern) lo meel wilh Iheir service users and discuss musical
hislories and preferences, and use Ihe experience to develop a performance. Mariam
was scheduled to perform ol Ihe YARMONICS weekend but was sluck in Poland when a
storm meant Ilighls were cancelled. and a lalk ond workshop was rescheduled lor the
following year, working with local young people's group Play Produce Promote which is
part ol Freshly Grealed.
Nwando Ebiae- who made a visit lo Greol Yormoulh in 2024 lo explore possibilities, and
was taken wilh Ihe idea ol working wilh The Louise Hamillon Trusl lo local group who
raise lund5 for a pallialive care centre through knillingl and The Enchanted "Forest - a
knilled magical landscape they had made previously. Plans were developed for

community octivilie5 and event5.11 also provides space for regular exhibitions, talks, events
and workshops.

The ortisls studios ol Primeyorc conlinue lo provide space for ortists to work ond develop
projects lo engage with the locol communities. Around 20 orlisls continue to occupy 16
spaces.
Resident ortists ond studio members engoge regvloty to help support the running of the space

and partnerships. Working closely with ovr Trustees. we have used these insights 10

Building on the 5ucce5s of Lifting the Horizon. we have reflected on Ihe momentum and

networked conversations ond events such os orlisl CPD sessions, creative workshop5, research
trips, and public summits. all ol which helped strengthen locol capacity and collaboration.
In response, we developed and 5ubmilled an ambiliou5 tollow-on proposal to Art5 Council
England tilled Modular Foundolions, which aimed lo advonce organi5ationol development
and create opportunilie5 for local artlSts lo learn and earn Ihrough participation, on-the-job
curalion, commissioning. and evaluolion. Allhough the application was ullimolely
unsucce551ul. feedback acknowledged Ihe ambilion and complexify of the proposol and

Discussions with the Freelands Foundolion

Following an unsuccessful earty-year opplicalion to the Freelands Foundation Fund, we
initiated a dialogue with Dr Henry Word (Director. Freelands Foundation) lo explore
shared interests around developing an allernative art educotion offer in Great
Yarmouth. This idea was seeded from the Contracurriculor Summit (part of Lifting the
Horizon). which the Freelands leom altended. and was later expanded following the
Modular Foundotions bid.
With 5UPPOrt from independent curator Kirsty Ogg, these conversations evolved into a
more focused explorotion ol how originalprojects,. could lead o research phose lo test
new models of place-based art education. Our revised proposal was well received,
resulting in an oword of £30.(XX) from the Freelands Foundation's discrelionary fund lo
support o year-long reseorch ond development programme looking into the potentiol
lor o Great Yarmouth Exploded Art School, beginning in Jonuory 2025.

published on 2 Februory 2016 and does not include o cash flow slalement on the grounds Ihot il
is opplying FRS 102 Section l A. The linonciol slolements ore prepored on o going concern basis
under the hisloricol cost convention, modified lo include cerloin items ol loir volue. The linonciol
slotements ore presenled in sterling which is the lunclionol currency of the Charily ond rounded
lo the nearest pound. The significant accounting policies applied in the preparation of these
linoncial stalemenls are set out below. These policies have been consislenlly applied lo all years

with specific reslriclions imposed by donors or which hove been roised by the Chorily for parliculor
purposes. The costs of raising and odministering such funds ore charged against the specific fund.

All incoming resources ore inclvded in the Stotement of Finonciol Activities ISOFAI when the
Charity is legolly enlitled lo Ihe income ofter ony performonce conditions hove been met, the
omount con be meosured reliobly ond il is proboble thol the income will be received. For
donotions to be recognised the Choritywill hove been notilied ol the omounls ond the settlement
date in writing. 11 there are conditions ottached lo Ihe donation and this requires a level of
pertormonce before enlitlemenl con be obtoined then income is deferred until those conditions
