1. To promote high standards of Planning and Architecture in or affecting the area of Goole. 

2. To educate the public in the Geography, History, Natural History and Architecture of the area of Goole.

3. To secure the preservation, protection, development and improvement of the environment and sites of features of historic or public interest in the area of Goole. 

4. To provide recreational facilities and/or events for the public benefit at large or those who by their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances, have need or would benefit from such facilities and/or events. 

5. To procure the maintenance, improvement or provision of public amenities. 

1.The Society has continued to comment on planning applications, lobby the local planning department and meet with the planning department to ensure high standard of new development. 

- 2.The Society continue to be representatives on the Local Authority led Development Boards and contribute to discussions on the preservation and development of Goole’s buildings and historic environment.

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

1. Improving the public realm of Goole Station, which is a part of Goole Conservation Area. 

2. Promoting the importance of Goole Market as part of Goole’s Heritage. 

3. Arranging public activities which were free to attend by all members of the public, which had the objective promoting Goole’s Heritage and providing public sources of information.
