successful in obtaining a grant of £10,000
from the National Lottery Awards for All.
This grant allowed the charity trustees to
begin moving forward on the key objectives
on promoting autism awareness for public
benefit and helping Bristol businesses
become more autism friendly for individuals
and their families. At the subsequent
meeting of trustees, we identified the
campaign priorities as developing a media
presence through print materials, social
media and website so that members of the
public have opportunities to engage with
the charity. We also created a research
survey to better understand the needs and
priorities of autistic individuals and/or their
families in Bristol.
