The Trustees present their annual report with the accounts of the charity for the Year Ended 315t December 2024. ThE OBJEcfs OF THE CHARiff The objectives of TRELOGAM PLAYGROUP are: The objettive of the CIO is to provide inclusive. high quality sessional day care to enhance the development. care and education for children aged 2 X to pre-sch(M)l age. The charity provides a happy, safe. and 5timuling environment where the thildren can leam through playi guided by committed playworkers in partnership with parents. The Playgroup is an English medium setting whtch encourages the use of We15h for baslt commands, manners. colou￿. numbers. songs. and rhyme5. The Charity will be non-party in politics and non-sectsrian in religion. In planning our athvities for the year, we kept in mind the Charity Cornrnission's guidance on publi benefit at our trustee meetings. The Management document for Tre10￿n Playgroup is our Constttutson dated 23 February 2022. Trelogan Playgroup is governed by the Care Inspectorate Wales {CIWI who insFCt and provide guidance. The latest inspection 7Kas carried out on the 3 Ottober 2022 and the rew)rt can be found online. Trustees are appointed on a roHing pro8ramrne. to serve for at least one bErt may be wlerted or re-appointed. The administrdtive work of the charity is carried out by the Tnjstees who are ultimately responsible however the day-to-day management is delegated to our P1w￿rOUp ￿pervIsor who s a qualified teacher. Management meetiny are normally held at least four times a year treether with an Annual General Meeting. Some meettngs are held via Zoom. The Trustee s aim is to make decisions together. Dates and times of these meetings are made aware to the Trustees and parents. In August 2024. Lucy McHugh was voted by the Trustees to be Treasurer of the Playgroup.

EME Throughout 2024. TRELOGAN PLAYGROUP continued to provide a popular setting forthe very young of the village of Trelogan and surrounding area. The Trustees and the Playgroup Supervisor met throughout the yEar by Zoorn aThJ in person to disCUSS the management of the Playgroup. During 2024 we had an average of 8 children attending PlayEmUP. Staff and siaff training The charity currently emplo￿ 3 members of staff. they are led by the Person in Charge who is a fully qualified Primary School Teacher. The charity ensures that all ￿MberS of the team ha4E a current DBS and they are fully up to date with mandatory training e.g. Food ltygiene Certificate. Safeguarding and First Aid. In 2024, the stsff attended the following courses: CCPLD (continuous- LS & GC-W) Leadership & Management ISM). Safeguarding group B IG C-W). Prevent training {SM. LS. GC-W, AC). Autism training- promoting positive behaviour & supporting behaviours of concem ISM, LS,G C-W}. ALNEf part 1 & 21SM). The two playgroup assistsnts who started Level 2 CCPLD through Coleg Cambria in 2024 will complete their training by Mayljune 2025. We also have a group of volunteer5 all of whom have a current DBS and can be c211ed upon to support the children who are required to vrnlk to the afternoon sessions at Ysgol Trelogan. FUND RA151NG The Trustees/staff and volunteers are active fund raiser5 and have a prograrnme of events each year. We have the support of local busine$5es who offer time. a(fvice, and Spa￿ forthe artivities. A5 part of our fvnd-raising attivitses In 2024. we held events such as coffee morning5 at the cornmunity centre and Tree Tops Caravan Park and discos at the community ￿ntre for the playgroup children and pupils of Ys801 Trelogan. This year we invested ID a movie li￿nSe which enabled us to hold a Christmas ￿e night, with plans to hold more next year. Trelogan Playgroup has been very successful in raising over £2490.35 throughout 2024. Events were very well supported by the local community. We continue to raise our awareness throughout the catchment area to attrart further fundraising opportunities and new children to our Playgroup. We adverttse our fund-raising events on Ioc31 Facebook pages of surrounding communities as well as posters and flie￿. The Trustees continue to look for opportunities to ralse awareness of the Pla￿￿up within the village of Trelogan and surrounding area in a variety of way& We encourage potential parents to come to look around Playgroup when they make an enquiry. This enables the parents to experien￿ the Playgroup setling and speak directly with our Person in Charge. We held a Numeracy Parent Play Session in November and we plan to hold Lrteracy and Healthy Eating PlaySe55ions next year.

FUND RAISING In 2025. we plèn to raise funds in a variety of ways that not only involves the children but encourdges the local community to come along and join in. To date we have coffee mornings planned to tske pla￿ at Tree Tops Caravan Park and the communty centre. an end of tern) film night and a disco later in the year. Trelogan Playgroup's wlicy is to hold Sufficient resources to continue the charitsble activities for an agreed period of time. should income and fundraising artivities fall short. The Playgroup is self-funded. We charge a range of fees dependent on how many sessions each child attends and how long they stsy in Playgroup. The sessions are held 3 mornings a week during school term. We continue to receive funding from the Childcare offer from the Welsh Government initiative that provides 30 hour5 of childcare provision per week for children once they tum 3 years old and other local government initstives. The Charty is aware of the natural fluctuation of the number of children attending play sessions. The Playgroup is registered for 25 children. At the start of 2024 we had 10 children attending Playgroup by the end of 2024 we had 7. During 2024 we retained our fees as we felt our parents continued to be impacted by the increase in the cost of living. However. we acknvely encourage and educate our parents on the childcare offer5 that are available. We have had an average of 62.5% tsking advantsge of the Childcare Offer and I child paying through the Tax-Free Childcare. This not ontry sup￿rts our parents but also give5 the playgroup a small additional uplift to our basic fee. We continue to pay charges of £5 per rnc￿th on our Bank Account. All fees are paid by elertronic transfer. Using funds remaining from the Healthy Eating Grant obtained in 2023, we purchased seeds. plants and compost to continue our gdrdening project. Money remaining from the Sustainability Grant continued to tontribute to wages. HMRC and commursity centre rental from January through to July 2024. The Trustees are aware that there rs an ever-in(Tea5ing need for us to ensure that those to whom we direct our resources are the most suitsble recipient and that we continue our prudent management of outgoings. Going forward. the Trustees continue to be awa￿ of challenges that could impatt the running of the Playgroup as a direct result of unforeseen expenditure suth as play equipment repairl￿p1aCement and lower than usual numbers of children in the Playgroup.
