The year started in a state of flux, at the end of the previous 12 members retired, leaving 2 trustees to continue plus one associated member. With a view to increase membership an open day was held in November 2024 to encourage potential membership. Unfortunately, this proved to unsuccessful with no attendance.
A very truncated Christmas operation with only one day fundraising supported by another Lions club, whilst this did prove a small income, it did not prove successful in increasing membership.
We continued to seek members but with very little success. Therefore, in Aprill 2025 a meeting was held the trustees and district officer to discuss the closure of the club, in principle this was agreed. Further additional talks and potential membership delayed reaching any actual decision until after the end of the year, although action was taken to dispose of the assets and monies donated to local charities following the processes previously used.
Finally, by the end of 2025 the decision was taken to close the club and action to put in place to process the closure.
